Film for Wet Mounting

How do I remove the film?
Remove the film by carefully scratching it loose and pulling it off gently, so that as much adhesive as possible comes off with it. Be careful when using a heat gun or hair dryer to heat the film, as the heat can easily become concentrated in one spot, creating large temperature differences. After removing the film, there will likely be some adhesive residue left, which can be removed with soapy water or regular household alcohol and possibly a glass scraper (only on glass).
Is the film self-adhesive even though it's for wet mounting?
Yes, it is. The mounting liquid only ensures that you don't get air bubbles under the film.Once the mounting liquid is scraped away, the film adheres to the surface using the adhesive.

Why isn't the film sticking when it says it's self-adhesive?
When the film is properly installed and the mounting liquid is removed, the film sticks firmly. There are certain types of film and sun film where the back liner/backing paper isn't very obvious or is transparent, but almost ALL of our films have adhesive on the back, and the back liner MUST therefore be removed during installation for the film to stick. The only exception for film without adhesive is printed wondertack.
What do I do if an air bubble has formed under the film?
Normally, air bubbles less than 4mm in diameter will disappear within about 14 days. If the bubble is larger than 4mm, you can carefully make a small prick at the edge of the bubble with a needle to make a hole in the film. Then use your fingers to push the air toward the hole in the bubble and press the film in place at the same time.
